November in a Nutshell

Happy December friends! And if you live in NC, happy snow day as well!

It has been a month since I last spoke with you guys, and I’m telling you why right now.

Cai and I moved again. If you remember, we recently moved to an apartment complex back in May 2018. Now, 6 months later, we’ve moved again to a condo-style “apartment” community.

Thing were not working out in our old place. Cai and I were overworked to the point where our grades were suffering, once again, in school. Honey never got play time because of noise restrictions, which began to depress her. On top of that, all of our hard earned money went to bills. We were barely eating, running out of hygiene products, and stressed the hell out. So we took the steps to leave.

We’ve been in our new place for about 3 weeks now; we’re finally settled in. Everything is looking up, guys. The bills are much more manageable and fair, Honey Bee has her own space to run and play, the neighborhood is friendly and quiet, and the overall atmosphere of our home is warm. We’ve been able to buy things we need, and we are slowly getting our lives back.

The part of this news that kept me away from writing to you guys is how quick the move had to happen. Cai and I located, toured, and signed for this place 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. We began looking for new apartments on November 6 and moved in on November 16.

I hate that I did not tell you guys what was happening, but I needed the time to focus on my family and our security. Just know that Cai and I are happier here and I can finally write blogs in peace. I hope that this answers all burning questions. Tomorrow, we will be celebrating 1 year of Journals by Jhu! It’s going to be a blog you don’t want to miss. As always, thanks for being so supportive; I will talk to y’all soon!
