Healthy Home Treatments for Hair

In 2017, there are a plethora of hair products available to women and men of all races. From Cantu to Herbal Essences, most people can find the perfect product for their hair.

But what about the people who can’t find something for their hair, or the people who can’t afford all of the crazy high prices? I was there too, so you aren’t alone.

Picking the right products can be a hard situation, especially if your hair is sensitive to popular/common ingredients in most hair mosturizers. However, it is possible to create some that work for you. How?

It starts with research. What ingredients in products agree with your hair? What ingredients don’t? What are you allergic to? What home good is okay for hair? All of these questions, and more must be answered.

Then you have to actually know what ingredients can mix together, because there are many that cannot.

Overall, it’s a pretty easy process to make your own hair products. Just search and mix.

I’ve created a few hair oils and moisturizers, using items in my kitchen. I have natural curly, dark-brown hair; 4C texture. That being stated, I do not advise using my products unless you have a hair texture like mine or close to mine.

Keep in mind, using hair products that are not made for your hair texture can be extremely damaging.

Here are some kitchen items that have shown amazing results in my hair, thus far.

  • Coconut Oil
  • Honey
  • Raw Egg

Experiment on your own, and let me know your results! I’m always gathering new knowledge on all things hair, so check out my posts to keep up on the latest, and greatest. Thank you for reading!
